Nitron norc m14

Murdoc, how does the Nitron finish compare to Arma-coat in terms of look and durability?

We can make Nitron in a Gloss, semi-gloss and a matte.Matte is what you see in the pictures I first posted. Arma-Coat would be your best bet if corrosion is a major concern. Look wise they are the same but the nice thing with the Arma-Coat is you have a variety of colors to choose from.

Nitron is an extremely thin finish which works great on extremely tight guns. The only limitation on Nitron is the color as it only comes out black.

When you say (disassembled is faster turn around time and cheaper) does that mean barrel off in the case of the M14 ? or do you do it with the barrel on the reciever ?

why would you want to do that???

Can this process be done on chrome lined bores? Does it lend any benefit to the bore if it can be applied?

I was asking because the rifle Murdoc had in this thread looked to have a chrome bore. I know nitro carburizing can't be applied to a chromed product. I wasn't familiar with this process and thought I'd ask.

And yet another choice when it comes to FINISH on your M14 type rifles ... murdoc you do rock my friend ... thank you,

The receiver stays on the barrel. By complete disassembly I mean everything that can be taken out that has roll pins, springs, sights and the like,so when we blast the media does not bind up any areas where there are moving parts.

Great looking finish, Murdoc! Thanks for the great pics.

I have a Nork-GI build thats got a few different shades of colours going...gonna have to think about taking up your services to fix that maybe

Can you do my truck?
