Hi all. A local pawn chop have a couple of bayonets for sale. i am interested in an Enfield blade boyonet. He asking 60$ for it. Is that a fair price? I do a quick search on Ebay but i only fond pigstick or No.1MkIII long blade.

Your opinion please.

If it's the one with the swivel mechanism, that looks like a combat knife, I've never seen one before... and would love to get one :D (The No7?)

If it's just the blade (is that the No9 bayo) then it's a pricey.

Does it look like this?

British No9 worth approx $20-45, depends on condition, but they are around all the time...

For the #7 (with the swivel on the end of the handle as Lou stated above) you would be laughing all the way home for $60 each they are generally $150+.....if you are talking about the #9 then I wouold say $60 is much to high, The #9's I have seen generally do not come with scabbards either. So...for a pawn shop buy of a #9 with no scabbard I would not pay over $30.....my $.02....someone may disagree with me.

Sorry, false alarm. It is a freind of mine who give me the info. after actualy go there myself to see them, i realise that there is couple of bayonets but none for enfield.
Thanx anyway for the info. i might enconter one some time or another.

Times have changed. bought my No7 with scabbard (in the grease) from a surplus store for $15 and he had around 10 of them.
But then I can remember buying a No4 for $11.95
