Hey everyone, I just wanted to hear from people what the "no-gunsmithing" mount for the lee-enfield is like. I was thinking of buying one from Marstar, but I'm hesitant on a few things. I have a great ph4 micrometer sight on this gun and I really don't want to mess with it. Do I risk anything by putting the scope mount on, or can I just take the eyepiece out of my ph4 sight, and the rest can stay attached. Do I risk damaging my gun at all? Is this thing a piece of crap? Let me know if you have one and what your experience has been. Thanks

I'm not sure which type of mount Marstar is selling (B-Square perhaps?) but other options are S&k mounts (which I've read people rate better than B-Square mounts) and also this mount:

I understand and support your decision not to want to alter the milsurp. I'm going to get a S&K scout scope mount (no alterations like you) for my Swedish M38. Let us know what you decide.

The cad technik scope is definately a consideration, but no one sells it in Canada and I think it's very difficult to get across the border. IF anyone has information on this, let me know. I have been thinking of getting one for a while.

I was on gunboards.com and I guess Fulton's of Bisley has a steel no gunsmithing base available. From what I understand, it's similar to the one Marstar has but steel, and from the picture I saw of it, it has 2 cross slots for weaver bases fwiw. Don't know how much they are or if you can get one from UK to Canada.
