So I have two No.4 Mk.1 (T)'s and I have toyed with the idea of selling one to finance my expanding German collection but I don't like the idea of cash in hand but no rifle to replace it. Does anyone out there know a good source for correct and matching K98 Snipers, G 33/40's, G43's etc etc? Basically the higher end of German milsurps I am interested in selling or trading for. This isn't a WTT ad or anything like that, just wanted to gain some knowledge of what is out there. I am guessing importing is the main source? Any tips on doing that?

You will probably find that 99% of the "correct" Mauser snipers are humped.
Finding a correct, matching, K98 sniper is about as common as being hit by lightning three times in a row on the same day at the corner of 1st street and Jasper and ONLY if you are wearing a bright yellow polo shirt.
Not impossible..... but very unlikely...........
Importing one...you will really be dealing with the professional humpers then.

I had a K43 sniper with correct original scope marked for winter use. Sold it a year ago. They are around. You need to be very very patient. The only reason I sold it was I needed the cash for my new place. You need an in with your local gun store, go to many gun shows(be a seller there so you can trade before the public can enter), and scope out the EE religiously. There are other sources...JB mauser knows the ones for the K98s as I always seem to see new acquisitions of fine specimens.
