Okay, I'm a newbie with the LE No4 Mk1 series here, so bear with me.
On my converted No 4 Mk1 (Shirley) that was changed into a No 5 lookalike, the rear sight is the correct 1200 yds/m version. I would like to change this with a JC (new old stock) sight that is graduated to 800 yds/m ....
How do I get the old sight off ?? I see a screw on the right hand side, but the other end has a super fine and skinny roll pin
That might be hard to replace if I drift it and the darn pin falls on the the shop floor. This may start to sound like an M14 bolt disassembly nightmare...
Any suggestions from you Lee Enfield experts?
Peace be to journey,
Barney
