Hi, just had to share, I'm all excited. I have searched for a long time for one in this condition. Yes, all matching except sling.

There will be "big" rifle sale to help recover costs for this darling.

Very nice Arch! All matching are the hardest to find by far and do demand a premium price.

That is a great looking "T"? You don't show it in the photos but I hope you got the scope can with it for completeness? Since it is a 1944 I would like to ask if it has the split front sight block? Is there a 'T' stamped on the left reciever wall or just the 'TR' on the wrist strap? Thanks for letting me know.

Most of the 1944 BSA's I've seen have solid blocks. In fact I don't recall ever seeing a split block on a 1944 BSA.

Of course that is probably only 8 or so T's.

Payne also has remarked on this in 1944 BSA / H&H production.

My 44 BSA T rifle appears to have a solid front sight block...are you referring to the Long Branch style with the screw?
Also, it is a real T but I cannot see any T stamping on the receiver wall. There's some wrinkle paint or something, I think it's filled in.

Hi, as soon as this beauty arrives to my hands I will post detailed pics of the stamps and proofs. I don't want to jinx anything ;)

Sniper

Get ready, I'm going to sell it next week on the Milsurp forum. Didn't even shoot it. It's that nice. I am not a "true" milsurp guy, so I think it deserves a better home where it will be cherished, worshipped and shot.
