I am really interested to how shooters find a Lee Enfield No.5 compares to a No.4 at distances of 100 metres.

I am really curious about actual experience and not just "shoulds" and "mights".

Also I do not want to debate the wandering zero issue as it's already been discussed many, many times with no consensus.

Thanks very much for any feedback. :)

I have the targets saved somewhere, I'll try and find them:rolleyes: but I have it writen in my log as,
best @ 100yds with 39gn H4895, Hornady 180gn RN, CCI BR primer, neck sized,
Bullseye pistol target
- 55 FAZ No4 MkII - 3.5" 10 shot group / 6 shots within 1.75"
- 47 No5 JC - 4.0" 10 shot group / 4 shots within 1.25"
No4 was new in wrap last year and has 150- 200 rounds through it.
N05 has a like new mirror bore but I don't know the actual round count, it has to be low.

Accuracy wise, I see very little difference between the two. I have a rack grade No4 Savage and an equivalent No.5, with good ammunition, both will shoot 2"-3" groups (5 shot) off the bench. My best No.4 shoots better than my only No.5 but not by much.
I find the No.5 easier to shoot off hand.
