No caliber/barrel length on certificate?

Is there any pros or cons to having just a frame registered? As in no designated caliber or barrel length on the certificate.

I cant think of one, but they often screw them up. Ive had at least a half dozen 1911 frames registered to me, and when i sell one, tney invariably tell me what cartridge it is chambered for. Then we do the "correct their errors" dance, yet again.

It’s a glock, the make/model are on the certificate just no designated caliber or barrel length. It’s a complete gun now, I was just curious if there was any pros/cons to leaving it as is or calling in and updating the cert.
