It's being reported on Trapshooters that Champion Targets in Richmond, Indiana has closed permanently.
They have been the clay targets available for the small time recreational shooter at Cabela's, Canadian Tire and some Wal-Mart stores in the West.

what happen to them ? poor sale ?

According to a post on trapshooters.com old equipment, poor sales and the cost of retooling was too high. The company is still in business just not making clay targets apparently.

Were any clubs in Canada throwing Champion targets? Around here it's mostly Lawry with a few clubs throwing White Flyers.

It's not the clubs that will miss Champion Targets. It's the pasture clay shooter.
Hopefully Lawry's and White Flyer will take up the smaller retail sales.

My local club no longer buys champion clays with the package quantity being cut by a 1/3 and price going up a couple bucks they've entirely changed supply sources and went to white flyers. I my self no longer no longer buy champion clays over the same deal. I get sourced from the US for $15.25CDN a box after everything is said and done vs paying $28.55 after 13% tax on a box for champion.

$15.25 is $10 a case cheaper than our club buys them. You are doing well.
I'd be curious what the order requirements would be for ordering direct from white flyer for export into Canada. They offer this service directly on the white flyer website. I'd imagine if your club shoots enough or if you had several clubs in your area. The clubs would probably be able to cut all those middleman charges out and secure clays at a fraction of what I'm paying.

We buy white flyer targets direct from the US picked up and trucked to our gun club we will split a load between a couple clubs by the time you pay trucking exchange and tax they re $27 box of 135 up $10 from 2 years ago.
Cdn Tire sells champion targets for $24.99 / box of 90 that would be almost $38 per box of 135 :(

That is pretty much what we pay from Tom Ferguson, delivered to our club, and loaded into our storage shed.
