no more zastava in 6.5

It took me nearly three months to sell my zastava m70 in 6.5x55 (for well below what I paid, and it came with scope rings).

Just wanted to bump this as I just received a 7x57 from Tradex and it really exceeded my expectations. I have a Z5 in .22wmr, an M85 in 7.62x39, and now an M70 in 7x57. The M70 is by far the nicest and most impressive of the bunch. Everything is very well machined and finished, bluing is very nice. The rifle is much lighter then I was anticipating as well. Stock is quite nicely grained, inletting is a bit rough but nothing a quick 5 min sanding won't cure. Overall a nice example of the '98 Mauser at a price that is very reasonable for the quality you get.

Only thing I don't understand is why they put irons on these.... With the high comb I can't use them at all unless I turn the rifle completely gangster sideways lol.
I'd probably buy another one of these in 6.5 and another in 9.3....they are pretty decent.

Afew months ago I got a gun chambered with 6.5x55 with the whole reloading and casting set up and I been loving the round. Fly's straight and stupid accurate even with a 4x scope at 100 yards and not much recoil. I think the round is better then the .270 win. I never would have tried it if I didn't get it for a smoking deal and I don't regret it. Plan to get another 6.5 one day.

The 6.5 is a great cartridge, I got a few of the S&L target rifles from Tradex (still haven't shot them all yet lol).
This one shoots under an inch with irons and my handloads at 100m.

My zastava in 7.62 is a terrible fit for me. Its a compact gun in my opinion and to short for tall guys, my hand dwarfs the bolt on it. Quality is decent tho on the gun itself, would be good for someone under 6 foot and shorter arms. I LOVE my swedish mauser in 6.5 tho!

Not sure if the 6.5 version is the same?
