No single shooters?

I read this and I thought this was some sort of pick up line, but yeah I do agree with that use the buddy system when you're shooting or unlicensed and yes mental illness is a issue

I used to work full-time at DVC Indoor Shooting Center in Vancouver for a number of years. At first, we allowed solo unlicensed shooters. Years ago, we had one individual visit the range that gave the staff a really bad vibe - thankfully nothing happened, but we changed our policy immediately following. Solo licensed shooters are totally fine, but unlicensed shooters have to come with at least one other person.

While it can be a bit inconvenient for some, the policy is effective as other ranges have noted. Thankfully DVC has never had a serious incident like a suicide.

This policy is fine in my book... but it is also done in Florida, a buddies wife works at a range there and we used to exchange stories when I worked at one.... and I mean if don't allow in FLORIDA... you know it is serious. :)

First time I started reading this post I thought....

No single shot firearms were allowed, then after a few comments.....

Only married people were allowed to shoot and wondered what kind of ID or proof they wanted.

But now I get it.

A definitely good idea IMO.

Does not entirely eliminate the problem as you can have two or more problem people etc.

More rare definitely.

Probably not the best place to pick up babes anyway ..

Actually you would be surprised, a lot of travelers. One of my most memorable visitors at WW was 3 Icelantic Air Flight Attendants (Yum) on a layover, and one was an ex-cop too.

also add +2 if they love guns. :)

I have been noticing a growing trend of single women and groups of women at ranges and gun shows lately, with out guys. They are no longer a prop in our sport.

I understand that a single person with out a fire arms license
is a sad way to live. And you are a higher risk.

But it hurts to know you trust those of us not single,
because you know we have chosen a long slow death. :)
