I have had this rifle for about 10 years, my brother gave it to me.

When I got the rifle it was badly sporterized and when they shelaced the wood they did the WHOLE gun, metal and all.

It shoots really nice groups and the barrel is original length so I decided to try and get her into a new and proper dress.

I was collecting parts for years just waiting to find the wood to finish the job.

here is a before pic.

now the pic after I have picked up some lumber from Springfield Sporters for the No.1

Now I just have to fit the sling swivel onto the buttstock and install the safety again.

I am going camping this weekend so I am going to take it along and try it.

When I got the wood in the mail I could not believe the amount of cosimelene on the wood, It took a lot of cleaning to get the wood up to shape to start with.

Nice work. Where did you get the parts, and may I ask how much $ it costed for the wood and missing metal parts ? I got the same kind of Lee Enfield...

The metal parts I collected around edmonton at various gun shop parts bins, and the wood cost me 71$ cnd from springfield sporters in the us, but if you need all of the parts they have them.

Thanks but I wont sell it.

I make the mistake of selling my complete No.4 Mk1 and have regretted it ever since.

Besides It still isnt worth much as it is not authentic with the new lumber on it.

I found It relitively easy nut I could not locate any proper machine screws to fit a few of the clamps and the forend together I had to go to get some and cut and fit to size and then I blued them. wow the cold blueing works great for that .
