hi all, i have a no1mk111 that as been sportered at some point ,it as two holes D&T in the top of the receiverand one in the charger bridge .I have seen a few done this way ,was wondering if anyone knew what type mounts were used on these .Have a old weaver scope so may mount it on the old girl, any info would be appreciated

ATI makes a no 1 no gunsmith scope mount, so it doesn't matter where your holes are. I have a no 4 mount from them and it is as rock solid as they come. Put screws in the holes with a dab of jbweld, dress them off flush with a file, and hit them with some cold blue :)

Just reuse the holes, no need to waste money on the no smith mount.
I disagree with mwjones, the ATI is cheap and not worth it. If you want a no smith mount buy the S&K mount, far superior to ATI.

The mount is a weaver TO-1. I have one my enfield and it works very well. It does have one slight disadvantage, it takes 22 tip off rings. It will not accept standard weaver rings. Some people have had issues with the rings slipping forward under recoil. If your scope allows you to mount the front ring as far forward as possible( against the stops at forward end of the base) you wont have any problems. If you cant mount it this way you can do what I did.Set up your scope so its comfortable to use(proper eye relief) mark the position of the rings on the rail wth pieces of tape , degrease the scope rail and the clamps on the bottom of the rings and apply a small amount jb weld epoxy on the ring clamps. Tighten the scope rings on back in their original position on the tape marks. Let it cure overnight and your ready to go. I did this with mine over 12 years ago and its never moved.
Some guys recommend drilling and pinning or screwing the rings to stop them moving, but I've had a number of these mounts and I've never found it neccesary
Hope this helps A2
