Anybody have info on a No4 converted to 22. The side wall of the receiver is marked ".22 IN. Conversion" and the conversion number "3669". It's British proofed. It's built on a 1943 Savage action British marked. Mag has CNo7 type loading patform. Barrel is No2 MKIV profile, proofed, dated "40" and has the same conversion number. Never seen one until recently. Any info greatly appreciated. Ron

Could you post a few photos of the beast for us?

I really wish I COULD help, but the only ones I have seen personally are the C No. 7s and the early ones, the Long Branch .22 inch, which are wartime. This one is out of my ken.

Ill try for some pictures. I've checked Skennerton's book and it's not a Belgian conversion. Close to a No9 however stampings are not correct for the British No9. My guess is Parker Hale made up at the tail end of the No9 program in 1960. Ron
