No4 Band screws

No. 4 screws are different from No.1 screws. As smellie has posted before No.4 screws are BA thread, based on a metric shank with 47 1/2 degree thread. The easiest way to tell the difference is a No.1 screw has a rounded head while the No.4 has a flat head to it. You will not find this at the local hardware store. You can find them at places like Numrich .com and Sarco.com.You can also find them on E-bay,or you could also post a WTB on the EE.

A machinist's supply or a supply for serious model-makers could have them also.

OTOH, you might ask round here.

I am sure that somebody a bit closer than me has got to have a couple of extras.

Butt swivel/band screw are same size. 2BA x .65" long. They are dimpled at the end. These are getting scarce and prices are escalating. You can buy a similar screw however the head is a different dimension;not exact length nor dimpled. Try to stick with original. How many do you need? Ron
