No4 cheek riser

Hi,

I was wondering what some of you are using for cheek risers on scoped Enfield's? How tall are the No4T risers?

I am looking at getting a Garand one, or making my own from tooling leather, or hardwood.

If you don't have your hear set on wood, there are a few makers of leather cheek risers out there. Just Google leather cheek risers and see the results.

I have a couple on some of my single shot Martini conversions an quite like them. They feel nicer than wood against my cheek, especially in the cold.

I know where to get a leather cheek riser. I have at lease 6 websites in the favorites bar, or I can make my own. I was merely wondering the thickness of the No4T cheek riser.

The Garand "sniper" cheek pads don't raise the comb of the stock. They help position the head to the left to correspond to the offset scope mounting on the M1C and M1D sniper rifles. In addition to being laced on the stock, the Garand cheek pads were also screwed to the stock to prevent them from sliding due to recoil.
