I recently picked up a Savage number one Marcos star that went its way to England and it came with an interesting mag that I've never seen before. That mags on the left and then the other normal number for Mark 1 mag is on the right. I assume it must be part of the 41 / 42 production but I am not familiar with No4 Enfields.
Lite me know what you think!

The one on the left is Savage production. Note the S in the square mark. The one on the right is Canadian. C /l\ mark.
Just manufacturing variations.

Virtually all savage mags are made with folded pressings because it’s easier and cheaper to make if you have the pressing machinery.

Brit and Canadian mags are made from more pieces, brazed together with brass and polished flush. Much more costly to make with no real benefit.
