I inherited a 1945 M47C No4 Mk1 (T) sniper rifle some time ago. It appears to be a late war rifle. Serial numbers on bolt, receiver, and scope mount match; scope number matches number on stock; transit case and scope can included; everything appears to be original with proper markings except the check piece and butt plate which appear newer, but I can't say one way or the other.

I realize I have a rare piece of history, but was wondering what it would go for on today's market.

I would post pictures, but my camera doesn't want to work for me.

Thanks for any assistance or information.

I think most T's sell for around $2500-$3000 depending on condition, numbers matching, etc.

One member on here is a T collector... he'll be able to pipe in, I'm sure (can't remember who though...)

$2500-3000 was last years price. It's hard to put a definite cap on where these things will go. Someone just sold the scope, bracket and can the other day on ebay for over $3100.
If the rifle is in excellent shape, and the telescope adjustments move freely, then I would think $3500-$4000 would be in order. But thats todays price. It will go up by tomorrow.
