I recently purchased a No4MK2 and I want to know what contract it was intended for.:) The serial number is PF316###, it was made 1/54.
Woodchopper and me have bets on who answers first,:eek:
Who ever is wrong owes the other guy a Timmies double double, sound fair Chop?? :cool:

According to Stratton, your rifle was manufactured for the Irish Republic, but because of political problems the rifle was never delivered and was kept in storage. Stratton makes reference to this fact, saying that only 50,000 rifles were manufactured for this order between the serial numbers PF309348 to PF359347 of which range your rifle's serial number falls within. These rifles are sometimes referred to as the "Irish Contract Rifles".
