No5 MK1 issued?

I just picked up a nice MK5 made may of 1947. What signifies that it may be unissued. Is it lack of military markings on the stock or elsewhere on the rifle? (yes, I don't know much about these). I do know it's authentic though as it has all the things to look for including the cut outs on the breech area.

Yes, a No5 MK1. Here are a few pics. So I would guess by the finish wear to the receiver edges and edge of the buttplate it's been issued. Actually, putting the rifle back in the safe, I realized the glare from the flash makes the edges of the receiver appear more worn than it really is.
