Nobel Sport Vectan Powders

Wouldn't mind trying some Tubal 7 & 8000 in the 30R, did they have any of that? I suppose that N. American shooters have never really had a big need for the Euro powders to be brought in til now, although Norma has been around off and on over the years. And that some of the Allliant & Western powders are Euro powders from a few different sources. Wonder if the Euro companies have any serious interest in selling powder over here, you'd think Rottweil and D/N would be taking a look at it, seems like VV has done well over here. Or maybe we have been getting them under some of the different N. American brands, and never knew it.

So it is that time again! I can't believe it; every ten years I get my hands on some (love the A series), and then spend the following nine cursing the French for sucking at exports...

I would buy AS and A1 at a slightly better price. They don't meter well with the first three (small) cavities of the LEE Auto-Disk but the other disks are fine.
These powders are very fluffy and the A1 didn't suit cases smaller than the 9 Luger with my equipment. I found them cleaner than the average US made lot, on par with 700X maybe.
The A1 is the best powder I know for beginners: fluffy, highly visible (light green) and very similar to Unique in use; the A0 might even be better but I didn't see a use for the burning rate at the time (this is the powder they use for cast bullets and reduced loads in rifles).
AS is a very good choice for savvy shooters (plinking or target with 9, 44, 45's; I preferred A1 in .38).

The Ba series meter very well.
The Ba9 is an other Unique twin, but my last jug lost its mojo; a problem which was reported by an other shooter somewhere on the web.
The Ba10 had a very unpleasant smell and was, if I remember, dirty compared to the others; but since I was the only one to complain about it you can probably dismiss the comments; it is similar to Bullseye in use (Match!).
I would try the new 9 1/2 since it is similar to 700X in burning rate.

The Prima and other cute names are a mystery to me. They don't fit in the regular SNPE/Vectan lines and don't figure on the French website. Even their shape/construction is different.

Thanks for the info Re auto-disk KG

I was thinking of trying A0 for medium loads in .357 and 44mag once my HS-6 and Longshot run out

Anyone else been using the A series yet?
