So my hunting site has a pile of deer, have several cameras out and have hunted here the past 3 years. Have seen dozens of deer and have some large bucks on my camera I am trying to hunt. I have a lot of doe action in the day time and also during the night, but all my bucks seem to be traveling at night. I had one camera pick up a little 4 pointer at 830 am but other then that its pretty well all starting at 7pm and they go until about 4 or 5 am. Should I move my site or just wait for the bucks to start following the does around and hope one slips up during the day.

You need to move closer to their bedding areas if you know where they lay up. They will get up and move during daylight hours, but sometimes they won't move very far. This past weekend I was watching a doe and twins. I first spotted them around 11 a.m., then they bedded again, and were up on their feet again around 1 p.m. The bucks won't stray far from the does this time of year, so if you have the does, you'll have the bucks. I shot my buck the next day a couple hundred yards down the ridge from where I spotted the does.

This time of year deer are not sleeping much I would be working the deer calls and take a vantage of the rut going on now

Exactly..... the rut just kicked in here a few days ago and I am already noticing a big change in deer patterns...... stick with the plan....

If you put good time in on stand you will be successful......

Be ready.... once the bucks have their balls on their mind they tend to make mistakes. Seek out the bedding areas...success awaits!
