Just wondering if anyone has seen it around lately?.....it almost seems, that it has all but dissapeared from the Canadian market.
I'm talking about the chinese stuff in silver boxes....

Ya it has been gone for quite awhile now but if your lucky the odd bit comes up.My basement tenent got layed off over the summer and was short on cash, ended up giving me a several hundred rounds to make up the rent!

I noticed they are brass cased....is that going to be a problem for the VZ 58?
from what i heard the eastern bloc rifles are too rough and the brass gets chewed-up resulting in jams.
Any truth to that?

Not in the slightest. Its rough on brass by ejecting it, not from loading. And steel laquer garbage isnt that far off from the strength of brass. They never used high quality steel.

Problem is that igman stuff will be expensive.

A couple of months back our local gunshop found a few crates of South African made 7.62x39. Beautiful stuff and quite accurate as well as non corrosive. Considering its quality, the price was fair. If there were any left, I'd buy another case. bearhunter

Pullens in Victoria has a supply of Norinco 7.62x39 on their shelves, but I'm not sure how long it will last...just individual 20 rd boxes.

The NRCAN page lists several Russian factories as approved ammo makers, is this the same factories Wolf is made at? There must be some way to get Wolf into Canada..

Also anyone know a source for Yugo (PP) x39?

I miss the SA stuff too. Is it available in the US even?
