I am having an absolute hell of a time finding 7.62x54R non-corrosive with standard military ball loadings (145-150 grain bullets). Can anyone point me in the direction of a retailer that carries it?
CanAm did have 148 grain Tula, but they've been sold out for some time and didn't know when they'd be getting more in.

I'm not certain you understand the "corrosive " thing. Up until the 1990s, All military spec ammo was considered to be corrosive, there are almost no exceptions to this. Any ammunition in this caliber that is newer than 1990 and is non-corrosive is most certainly going to be commercial made ammunition at a premium price. Your choices will likely be S&B, PRVI, Wolf, LVE, and MFS. These bullets are more in demand for soft points, which are NON standard military ball loadings. Most of these makes can be ordered in FMJ but its more about a marketing issue than actual availability. For example, Why would anyone want to purchase target loads at 2 and 3 times the cost of readily available surplus loads? If you were a store, you would not get near the return on your inventory by competing with ammunition of half the cost or less. There maybe perhaps a few individuals that would prefer commercial match loads, but the really serious shooters make home-loads.

I'm sure some places will special order the stuff for you, but its much cheaper and less effort to simply learn how the clean your rifle.

Uh, I absolutely understand the "corrosive thing," I'm not looking for military surplus in non-corrosive; what I am looking for military loadings IE: not the common 174-203 grain loaded commercial cartridges. I don't shoot the SVT enough to warrant the purchase of a full or half crate of surplus and would rather not go through the hassle of cleaning it after I do shoot it; which again, is not often. As I said in the OP, Tula and Wolf offer what I'm after, but for whatever reason it seems to be overly difficult to find. Hell, there's even new production Russian that's non-corrosive that can be found in the US. I don't mind paying $12-15/box of 20 rounds for a few boxes of the stuff I just need to find it!

I think its 1.3, how did the ammo almost blow your action apart? maybe a faulty gun?
This was the day it happened (unfortunately I didn't capture it on video), what happened was the bolt locked violently to the rear and was completely jammed there. If you give the thread I posted a read through you kind of get the idea of how bad it was.
You can see from the video that the rifle does not run well at all, and I tried various gas settings with that ammo and none seemed to run it very well. This, however was prior to learning about how you can "lock" the gas setting in. I haven't shot the rifle since that outing since I've been passively looking for light ball ammo for it lol

Ah thank you! That's great. I'll email them to see if they can sell in quantities <500.
