Hi Everyone
I'm looking for a scope mount for my Lee Enfield, a 1944 LongBranch. I would like one that does not require drilling. My coworker has one that I like, it's called a "B Squared" mount. I can't find any Cdn distributer however.

Any idea where to get that mount or one like it?

Thanks,

Barry

I have this mount.

I have 3 types
The ATI works but will shift after time
The S&K is a great mount . I have it on a No5 carbine . It did shift upwards , but not after 400-500 ( can't remember) rounds. Not bad considering the stout recoil of the No5.
Properly fitted ( real easy ) , the B-Square has never shifted on me what-so-ever, and the 300/600 sight can still be used.
There's a CGN member that makes a decent no-smithy mount as well , Never used one , but I'm sure those who has will chime in.
Try a WTB on the EE

I have a couple of Cad-Techniks which I have used on several No.4s and a No.5. Mine work as advertised and I particularly like the features and am not so much affected by their main disadvantage - they seem to carry the scope higher than the other mount designs, and this rifle design already forces a high mount. But I have heard a few other users complain that their Cad-Techniks didn't return to zero or failed to hold zero. They aren't cheap and I am not sure you can get anyone to ship one to Canada anymore.

I have heard a few complaints of B-Square, ATI, and S&K mounts not holding zero, but my impression is that that complaint comes less often from S&K users than the other two, and least of all from users of the Armalon mount, perhaps because there are fewer of them (the Armalon is from U.K. and fairly expensive even before the shipping.) Marstar has listed a mount that looks to me to be a copy of the Armalon but at a much lower price, but it seems to be usually "out of stock."

I have 2 S&K mounts that I've used since 1975 on many No.4s & No.5s. Sometimes it takes a minute to orientate the nut correctly during installation but it's been a reliable solid mount. I get consistent groups with reloaded ammo from half inch to one inch depending on the rifle.

I found this mount on the internet yesterday.
Similar to the S&K.

Heh, I wasn't sure if "non-invasive" was the correct word or not, but it's an industry term we use a lot in my shop for medical stuff. Requires cuttting = invasive. Doesn't require cutting... well... you get the picture.

0.5-1" groups with a Lee Enfield? Holy Smokes. Are those 3 or 5 round groups?

I'll check out the S&K mounts.

Thanks!

I have the Fulton's mount on my 1941 Long Branch No.4 Mk.1 and, with a cheap Tasco Pronghorn 3-9/x40 scope, I am getting 1/2" - 1" 5-round groups at 100 yards, and I just pulled off a 2" 5-round group at 300 yards (seated, using sandbag as a front rest). The Fulton's mount is pricey, but it is steel and it does not budge.

I also have an ATI mount on my no4, and it works great. Put a little soap (hard soap, like a bar) on the threads of the screws, and it's not going anywhere.

Have you done anything to the rifle to accurize it? What is your load? What is the headspace like on your rifle?

All I have done is use metallic tape (the tape you use on ductwork) for shimming of the draws and between the forend and the buttsocket - the tape is very thin, is sticky so it stays in place, does not deform, is easy to remove, and does not involve any permanent alteration of the firearm. Load is Sierra Matchking .311 174gr HPBT, 38.3gr of Varget, Prvi brass and CCI primers. I checked the head space with Okie head space gauges, and it passed, so I did not mess with it.
