Non-Restricted 308 apart from M-14? SIG540's?

Any SIG 540's (308) out there? Surely there has to be non-restricted 308 semi automatic rifles of the battle-rifle kind besides the M-14 type in Canada. Is it really so? Perhaps we haven't much of an immagination when it comes to searching for other types of rifles to import. Canada is battle-rifle poor.

I wonder if the (semiauto-only) FG-42 will be non-restricted when it finally makes it over here.

One lousy rifle? That's it? This must change soon. Too much pandering to the bull#### is getting us absolutely nowhere. Too much patience is getting us nowhere. The antis have no patience and go at their agenda with a passion. They always make some sort of headway, perhaps not in the details but in the bigger picture of winning the hearts and minds of average joe Canadian and the immigrants.
We, on the other hand, are as slow as a bottle of cold treacle in on a Winters day. We do not even figure in the minds of Canadians as we are almost invisable. The opoosite is true of the antis.
Some of the "go slowly' types will argue that a tiny bit here and there is working. Wrong. This is a battle of attrition and we are definatley losing ground and perhaps the war. Certainly Rights are lost or being abused. Go slow means defeatism.
 
Teapots right the antis are making way more progress in the hearts and minds side of things. Every time you see a firearm on TV or in a movie it is foreshadowing something horrible. There is a movie out on video about talking friendly animals working together to outsmart the evil ignorant hunters(Open Season).

We have gotten put on the defencive by statistics. We need to take back the initiative and forget about crime statistics. It does not matter if there is more or less crime to the antis and it should not matter to us. This is about whether a minority has the ability to take away our rights out of an irrational fear. We need to prove to the general public that it is irrational and that a
PC police state like they have in the UK is worse than what we have now.

One stat I do like is the one from Freakenomics where they point out that
backyard pools kill way more kids than guns but no one is trying to ban pools.
It shows how the antis are not motivated by reason but an irrational fear.

I was on a knife site and a guy was taliking about a male(I use the term loosley) coleague who had a panic attack at the mere site of a spyderco folder. When did being this much of a pu$$y become socially acceptable?
 
People don't care about the number of deaths caused by puddles, cars, bathtubs or environmental pollution vs firearms. They will tolerate all the accidental deaths regardless of the high numbers. Why? Because they are accidental and it either happens or it doesn't and they wouldn't know it was going to happen until it did.
The thought of a nut chasing them or shooting at them creates terror in them like no random accident ever could.A firearm needs no probability or randomness to kill. It is a direct and intentional instrument that can cause death at the will of the weilder. This is what frightens people.
 
Wow, I got off topic. Anyway the SIG540 is semi-auto only and would need to be approved I am guessing. It should be non-restricted due to barrel length. The trouble will be in convincing FAMAE to sell you one. Perhaps Questar can do it. Wolverine has the little itsy bitsy 9mm s/a smg but cannot get FAMAE to sell them the rifle. I think this is correct.

Actually the whole law needs to be changed so we need not jump through hoops in order to frustrate us. This corrupt social-engineering, embezzling, lier Red libz party have a lot to answer for. Perhaps a goulag should be built for the whole bunch of them. They are rotten inside.

I didn't find the pics of the sniper variant of the Mk. 17 SCAR-H, but given the fact that the only difference between the variants(Compact, Standard, Sniper Variant) is the barrel lenght, so the barrel of the SV will stickout quite a bit, which will reminds me of the HK94.........

That has to be the uglies stock I have ever seen. While its functional with adjustable cheek rest and stock it looks hideous.
