Non-Restricted 7.62 "black rifles"

It is nice to see more options lately on non-restricted Black rifles in Canada, but they have mostly been in 5.56 Nato. Any idea when/if we could see something similar in 7.62 ?

Not too many "black" (as in plastic) 7.62x51 guns that are non rest.
A few wood stocked main battle rifles, the Norinco M14 being most popular.
Also the Valmet M78

I heard Swiss Arms was talking about a PE 90-type rifle in 7.62 some time ago. I don't know if that was just range talk or fact. Anyone in the know able to comment?

A picture of the prototype was floating around some time ago, it exists but no ones sure when it will be available.

Sounds like the Scar-H and the Kel-Tech are our best hopes for now.
I agree that it would be surprising if Rob Arms actually brought out the XCR in 7.62 in a timely fashion.

I saw a picture of a .308 HK gun...I think it was called the SL-9 or something of the sort. It looked like the SL8. I'm not sure if it made it here. Perhaps someone can shed more info...?

I'll have to look it up; but I believe the Springfield M1A is not restricted if the barrel is long enough.

Why would that be? Other then the silencer there is nothing prohib about the rifle.
