Seems unlikely at this point:
- production costs are higher than expected
- American market seems disinterested unless other calibers show up
- company sees other caliber conversions as being costly to develop with no guarantee of sales
- thus further development seems stalled
- Freedom Group that owns the company, seems to have financial issues
- American market seems increasingly AR-15/AR-10/M-4 centric... alternatives seem to struggle.
- sure the Tavor has seen some nice sales down south... but development was done a decade ago, its proven in combat, its an interesting exotic for some, but generally the AR-15 absolutely dominates American civil sales in 5.56
