Non-restricted, pistol caliber, semi-auto rifles. Do they exist?

I am in the market for a semi-auto rifle is 9mm luger but can't seem to find one with the non-restricted barrel length. I have seen the Sub 2000, Cx4 Storm and Hi-Point Carbines, but they are all restricted due to barrel length.

Are there any new production rifles out there that fit the bill?

Edit: As an aside, are there any bolt action pistol calibers?

ya of course. look up JR carbines and Thueron Defense carbines. Both are available in 9mm and non restricted! happy shooting.

The Sub-2000 model that is on the Canadian market has a barrel length over 18.5 inches, so it is non-restricted. The barrel simply continues past the front sight assembly. Here's a pic of mine:

the sub 2000 is non restricted but there is also the jr carbine and thuerion defence rifles they all come with 18.5 barrels

I remember getting some quotes, and it was hovering just around $1300-$1500, for the gun & shipping to me, shipping to a 'smith, the rebarrel charge, and shipping back.
That being said, look into Wolverine or Epps- If I remember right, they may offer a non-restricted version, or might be able to rebarrel it for you before shipping it out to you.

HK USC, I used to have one. $2600 new + $500 for the 18.5" barrel. Plus all the extras for stock and mag well conversion, I'd guess another $1000

I rebarreled my cx4 with a stainless heavy barrel for $550.

The restricted barrelling looks badass, but the NR version means one thing: badass gun in badass calibre for badass 'yote hunting under 50 yards
