Non Stainless Steel Barrel, raining?

Just got my Tikka T3, non stainless steel barrel. It's drizzling rain out at a medium level. Are non-stainless steel models not able to be out in the rain at all? Or should I clean it after or something. How bad would it be?

Should be just fine as long as its got a light coat of oil front he previous cleaning and you dry, clean and oil before you put it away.

What kind of oil? Can I buy from wal mart or crappy tire? Gun store closed at 6

Rem oil should be available at both

In a pinch, any light machine oil like sewing machine oil will do. Even WD-40 if you have to. All you need to do is dry everything off and then put a small amount of oil (a few drops) on a lint-free cloth and wipe everything down with it. Just enough to leave a very thin sheen on the metal (and wood - oil the stock too...).
