Am looking for lead equlivent for hand loads,
I shot a 16ga mostly have been caught short this year in large geese size shot. Wondering if anyone has suppliers out east, as unable to get anything sent from the US,
Will at Bilozir has been my go to supplier, and will continue to be so, but might be nice to know who esle is about just incase. Please let me know, nice shot, hevi shot, tungsten iron, or similure.

NICE shot didn't turn out so nice after all being $80 a kg./34 shots and only can be loaded up to 10,500 cup.............why not allow copper plated lead ? Harold

Decades of research went into non toxic lead and substitutes. Lead was even coated in a tough plastic in hopes that it would not be toxic to waterfowl. Sad truth was that nothing can be done to lead to make it non lethal to birds once ingested.

Studies have shown that lead in field hunting situations such as annual cropped and cultivated land has very little poisoning of birds in Prairie Canada. Problem being that it was felt that allowing lead over fields and not wetlands would be an enforcement issue. Thus lead shot for waterfowl hunting was banned altogether

With this said, dove hunting areas in the south US have a huge lead problem as thousands of hunters fire tens of millions of rounds on certain locations yearly. The USDA and USWS are seriously looking at a ban on lead shot for this reason.
