Hey everyone,
I bought a savage 340 in .30-30 and it came equipped with a weaver side scope mount. I have tried : A bushnell 3-9x40, A Leupold VXIII 2.5-8x36, a Burris FFII 3-9x40 and none of these fit. All of them are too big in the center of the scope turret bubble area to allow the mount to close far enough for the screws to catch. (the open squared area in the middle of the mount is too small for these modern scopes.
What scope do you Nutz use on your Savage? Obviously it is either a fixed power weaver or something similar. Anyone run into this issue? What did you do?
Did you buy a different kind of mount? Have one available??
