Hi All,

Don't think that you can't get any noobier than me...
Well, maybe but I certainly don't know anyone that would fit that bill.

Last weekend was the first time that I've fired a rifle in about 30 years.

Anyway, I'm starting the PAL course tonight, and will be looking to purchase
something hopefully, in the near future.
AND, I expect to spend a bit of time on here "Learning"

Most likely, I'll be doing more lurking and reading than posting, but I imagine
that a few "uninformed noob" questions will escape my lips.
I apologize for that in advance, and will try to keep them to a minimum.

Eyes Open, Ears Open, Mouth Closed, I'm off to read the FAQ's and the Sticky Posts.

You'll want to pick up one or ten 22's to start!!!! Then, you have LOTS to choose from after that...

Don't get offended if you get flamed on once in a while for a question you ask in the forums. Even though most people are very helpful and happy to answer there are some who don't seem to remember when they were new to the sport and had "dumb" questions too.

Welcome aboard Dave...I hope this board teaches you as much as it has me.

If I may suggest something, post your general location. There are lotsa folks that take noobs under their 'wings'. What that means is, making new friends, shooting with great people and maybe trying out new guns. Man I like shooting/trying new guns!

I love this community..one if the warmest group of folks I have had the priveledge of being a part of. For example check out 'Hungry' or ' 45acpking' M305 workshops. these guys give their time,knowledge, personal space/homes to help out, teach folks , and tune their m305 rifles!
If that doen't capture the spirit of CGN I don't know what does.

As a side note vote CP, join your local club and support your local gunshop and the fine supporting dealers here.

( ya my spelling sucks...I was fishing all afternoon. ie. drinking beer)
