Noob Question about a Savage Axis

Hey guys,

I sent this gun away for a warranty evaluation, it was sent back without a spring. Does anyone know what this is called? I have highlighted it in the picture. Need to know so I can order a new one. The bolt is not resetting (and is sliding right out) properly because of this.

call Savage and tell them to send you a spring.
(you could also email them but phone calls get faster turnaround time)

So the Savage warranty outfit returned your rifle misssing the spring? Why would you not contact them and have them replace it as it is there srew up. If they do not fix there screw up contact Savage arms and file a complaint about there warranty depot.

Grech outdoors in Mount Forest is also the Canadian warranty center for Savage as far as I know. Maybe he can supply you with a spring as well, maybe faster than Savage. Just a thought.
