Noob Question: QD Sling Swivels

Sorry, with the search broken I'm gonna have to bother you guys with my noob questions...


I'm looking for a QD sling swivel for the integrated QD swivel mount on my DD Omega rail... Anyone know of a source in Canada? Checked One Shot and Dave's, no dice. It looks like Brownell's sells some made by Midwest Industries, but I'd rather not wait 2+ weeks to try out my sling.


Also, will the same swivel that fits my DD omega also fit the CTR buttstock hole? Or does that require a Magpul-specific part? Would you recommend using a swivel on the CTR, or just using the cutout in the stock? Or is it much better to skip the buttstock altogether and remove the buffer tube to install an adapter plate?

If Brownells have them in stock, they might be just as quick as ordering from a dealer. I ordered a 870 stock from them and they shipped it to me by air, arrived in a week.

I have QD's attached to my Troy rail and my CTR. Pretty solid system, no complaints. If you are running a 2 point I'd skip the adapter plate, no worries connecting it right to the stock.

Sorry, forgot to mention that the sling in question is a 2pt VCAS.

I'm already waiting for an order from Brownells, this is week number 3. It looks like customs is opening all my Brownell's orders again. :mad:


I'll check out the EE, but its tough finding stuff without the search :( I should post a WTB ad...

In another thread, it was mentioned that One Shot Tactical should be getting some of these swivels in a few weeks.
