*I posted in the wrong forum, so this is now here. My bad*

I know this is a really noobish question, but just curious, the Saiga 12 shotguns...those I would assume are prohibited in Canada right? Seeing as they are based on AK type action?

Anyone ever shot one? Anyone ever at least held/fondled one?

Just curious what they are like, they seem really interesting!

Got it in 1. AK variant, so no-go.

That neat indoor range in Vegas had a couple versions I paid to play with when I was down there years ago... We were shooting @ bowling pins. Fun.

I would really like one for Gophers in the Spring ;)

I'd love one for slugs :) not exaclty your typical deer gun, but I know I'd try to take it into the woods at one point...it WOULD be fun for gophers for sure!

There were a bunch being used down at the PanAm Shotgun Championship this past summer. One guy in our squad had one......it was a jam-o-matic. When it did work, it worked fantastic, but when it went south, it was ugly. There was a company down there R&R Racing, or something like that. They were taking the Saiga receivers, completely reworking them, mid barrel brakes etc.. $3600 US later you had a decent reliable working semi.......no mags, those were separate, LOL!

LOL wow what a waste of $3600. I'd rather take that cash and invest it towards PGW .338lm. :p
