Noob question: Wild Turkey hunting in Ontario

I'm a brand new shooter, never hunted before. Haven't yet taken my Ontario Hunter's Education Course.

If I want to hunt wild turkey this season, I can do the DVD+write exam course... but, do I need to do the general OHEP course first to get my Outdoors Hunting card?

Confused about what I actually need to go out turkey hunting this spring....

You need your Ontario Outdoors Card and Hunter Ed course to hunt anything... if you want to hunt turkeys, you also need the Turkey Ed course.

Find an OHEP instructor who offers both, order the DVD from OFAH ahead of time and you can take both tests at the same time.

You can combine the PAL course too if you need it.

When I got mine I was able to write my PAL, Hunter Ed, and Turkey Course all at the same time. Order the DVD and watch it two or three times, then call whomever is administering your Hunter Ed course and ask them to also administer the Turkey course.
