Hello everyone this is my first post. I do not yet mave my license but I am planning on getting my restricted and non-restricted license in the next few months. I have shot a few guns before like a .22, various pellet guns, and i am a former archer so i know some basic range rules. I dont have tons of time right now to browse the sight so if you guys could answer my questions with a link posiibly (ex. a pages with all kinds of noob info) it would be much appreciated. I have questions everywhere from gun/ammo storage, to where can i shoot(obviously ranges but remote areas?), transportation of restricted guns, etc. I just want to absorb as much info as possible so i can be as safe as possible when the time to pull the trigger comes Thanks alot and im sure ill have plenty more questions for everyone in the near future.

Well, welcome to the site.

You have asked a lot of questions that need long answers. I don't know if you need to be an expert by the end of the week. Rather than trying to fill a quart jar with five gallons of information, just read a bit each day. It will come in small pieces and make sense eventually.

Well you can shoot non-restricted guns out in the woods as long as your outside of city limits and it's a safe location etc (ie not someones farm house as your backdrop ) . transporting restricted firearms requires them being in a locked case and accompanied by your "ATT" witch stands for authoriazation to transport witch gives you permission to take your restriteds to a gun range or gunsmith etc. restricted firearms unlike non-restriteds can only be used at an aproved gun range.
