I've fallen for the looks of the fabarms martial pro forces shotgun. But am wondering why a 14" barrel? Can I shoot skeet and trap or just close range bird/deer?. I think fabarms makes a 28" barrel from what I've read. Please educate me on the advantage of a 14" barrel.I have a 28" winchester 1300 I've used for deer and duck.
Thanks

It swings faster, and if the zombies get in close, you've got a little more freedom to move.

There is no power increase after 14" or 16".

You can still shoot skeet and all that, but the shorter barrel makes your followthrough a little less smooth.

Shooting Edge lists Martial Pro Forces at 14" or 18". I'm in the same boat as you, I really want one, but I was thinking 18" because of the extra shells it holds.

Anyone know if you can mount a flashlight under the 18? I havn't seen any pics of a Martial Pro Forces 18", and it doesn't look like there's anywhere logical to put a flashlight on the 14.

Shooting edge lists a replacement 28" barrel aswell. extra barrel and choke set costs more than the original gun.Still cheaper than the list prices for trap guns though. I saw a listing for tactical shotgun competitions this weekend in Barrie Ont. I'd hate to buy the 14" and not have much use for it. colt .45 could be used on zombies. I'm going to have to think on this one. I love the looks of the Fabarm martial pro forces and the sights. hum...................
