Norc 10.5 Suggestions

I'm not familiar with the Norcs. Can you put a mil-spec bolt carrier group in the Norc?

Absolutely. The Norc's will accept any part designed for an AR15. The Magpul handguards take a bit of patience to install, but install they will.
If you do decide to spend up to $200 on a "mil-spec bolt carrier group", make sure that it's not Norinco that you're buying. There's a LOT of Norinco BCG's out there being sold as unmarked "mil-spec" BCG's, such as LMT. ;)

Sometimes I think this site is jinxed!
After posting my 10.5 never had a glitch, I go to the range and the damn thing is a jam-o-matic, folding the emty casing aroud the full cartrige on the way into the chamber!
Kinda reminisant of my CZ gremlin, never happend till I read about it on CNG!
Is it somkinda cosmic karma/ desha vudoo?
At least I know what to do..thanx to reading the thread...I think.....:l

That's exactly what happened to my 10.5" Norc....it ran great for about 100 rounds and then became a single-shot rifle, jamming a new round under the unejected empty casing every time it was fired.
I'm guessing the installed extractor spring loses its tension very quickly.
Install a new extractor spring assembly as I described above. If it still malf's, install the tiny #60 O ring around the extractor spring.

I had the problem as well.

Carved out a tiny piece of hard rubber from an old industrial drive belt to fit inside the spring. (just over flush, without compression)

Worked like a charm!

1 in 10 FTE before.

100/100 - no problems after!

No cost.

I went a little overboard and replaced the spring with a DPMS Panther spring for $1.50. Now runs perfect. No problems with Nork AR copies because the problems are easy to identify and remedy.

Add a Gieselle trigger. Hi-Speed national match because you can adjust lock up reset and sear break and trigger weight. You can shoot rapid like 400 rpm semi auto for close or set the trigger to go long range. Very cool.

budget 300 dollars. Huge mod. Or add an eotech or both.

This difference between winning a match and losing. This is a .22lr but it shoots just as fast with a .223.
