norc 14 sniper??

I just completed an M14 Clinic at a secret location for a Gov't Agency and their armorers. The armorers broke out their personal Norinco M14's and were obtaining groups hovering (& cloverleafing) around the 1/2" mark. They showed me their binders of stored targets (they are very serious) and I was totally impressed. They were even using their existing CHU Wood stocks. Their ammo was 'company' ammo with the 168 gr Sierra MK (Op Sec... can't tell you which LE Organization ;) ) and they were shooting 100m away INDOORS. Read: No wind.... :)

That's all I'm allowed to say.... But they are fzckeng amazing craftsmen! Especially in the afternoon when they were doing their OWN tweaking at their own personal work station(s)... Shut the fzck up, Hungry! :D

There.... I never thought I would ever see a shztload of half inch groups out of box stock Norc's and CHU Wood  M14's but I did and I'm a believer! I just cannot spread the word.... I'm sworn to secrecy. Agent Orange told me so! :nest:

Hmmm, if I were to guess which range do I win a prize Hungry? LOL
There are very few indoor 100m (LE) ranges in Ontario.

Cheers.

Maybe Hungry and Agent Orange have something
in common that keeps these meetings secret ;)

You guyz are funny, but let's get back (and quit the hijacking that I started :p ) to the original post of M14 sniper styles with the Norinco-Plinko M14's....

Now after readying this, I am SO glad my new Norc M14S is on the way... But with the new 2009 Black Syn stock... wonder if its any good? Hmmm..

Since I am new, what simple add ons do i need to start training with? I have always used scopes on my bolts, but other than my Ar and CZ858, this will be my new main large caliber repeater.

I have unitized shimmed, new op rod guide and spring indexed the barrel and bedded a GI stock. I will break clays at 200 m with open sights, Good enough

A Norinco kan be tuned out real nice. This one has a silencer (standard lenght barrel) and other things I have done to this rifle is bedding, untitizing the gas cylinder. That´s it and it now shoot about 1,5 inch groups, steadily with match ammo.

To compare with another Norc reagrding the size of the silencer.
