So I have a Norc 1911 in 9mm and on about the 8th round the spent case gets stuck in the chamber. I think this is called stovepiping ? Correct me if I am wrong.
I did a couple of searches and found similar problems but no solutions or reasons why ? I have a drop the mag and manually move the slide to clear the case.
I know with all the experts around here someone must know what I am trying to talk about :)

Could be the round coming up in the mag is knocking it off the extractor. What style of bulletts are you using?

Agree with extractor tension. On the 8th(last)round,there is no round left in the mag to support the extracted case and the case slips down and the extractor loses control of the case causing either a stovepipe or jamming the case into the feedlips of the mag(often ruining the mag).Solution is to increase tension on the extractor such that you can slip a loaded round under the extractor(with slide removed) and shake the slide gently and it will hold the round in place.
