So... wondering when we will start to see a fresh supply of Norinco 1911A-1's and Commanders landing here on Canadian shores?

Anybody got the 'skinny'?

is the regular model better than the commander?
That really depends on the user. Some really like the Govt model best, some like the commander best. Some even like the feel of the government over the commander, but shoot tighter groups with the commander. Try em both!

I've owned dozens of 1911's over the years... I actually prefer the full size "Government" model over the Commander. And I seem to shoot the full size model better. However, that said, I really like the looks & feel of the latest model of Norinco 1911A1-C [commander]. I think Norinco has done an outstanding job with it. Hence my post of when we might see another shipment. Soon, I hope... ;)

Norc 1911's...

Of course, not to mention, the Norc represents a real good value for the money for their 1911 series. And especially, the model NP-29 which is the single stack 1911 in 9mm...

NP 29 seems to be a very good choice, and you can also start reload your ammo. I personal like a full size gun better. Marstar also has NP 28 in two tone finish which looks very hot.

did you get your commander from marstar or armco?

neither, I bought it from a local shop (gotta keep them in business, and yes I paid more, and it was still worth it) If I didn't have a local dealer to support, I'd buy from Armco because he takes away a lot of the cost that you'll spend later on various "improvements"
