Was up at the range shooting some handloads and figured I'd try resting it to see how it would shoot. Here's 5 shots from a rest at 25 yards. I felt myself flinch on the 5th . This is a stock norinco gov model I recently purchased from a CGN'er (it was pretty well new). The pistol cycles wonderfully. My only gripes are that the trigger was super heavy (I would get a sore finger after about a dozen pulls) when I first got it but I managed to get it down to about 4-5 lbs. I also get a few ruined brass (get squished on ejection) and the occasional ejected shell in the forehead. I think this might be the extractors fault. I'm considering buying an aftermarket one unless someone has an idea on how to correct it.....?
By the way, the load was 200grn LSWC and 5.4grn of 700x powder.

Apparently a gunsmith like Armco can tune it. I will be having it done at some point.

it was an 8.5x11 paper target but the semi wad cutters put a nice big hole in it. Its nice to be able to check the target from the firing line (without spotting scope) :p

not too sure about the ejector but when I bought my norinco the trigger was the same (actually everyone I've seen). I bought some so called match parts off ebay and took a lot of time polishing and fitting and I'm very happy with the results. People that have had taken there's to smiths for jobs couldn't tell the difference between a pro job and mine (although there's was most likely done a hell of a lot faster) and I saved a bundle. I found lots of info doing a google search for 1911 trigger job. I'm not saying this is the way to go, but it worked for me and mine!

I did alot of filing/polishing the hammer/sear connection and am now happy with the trigger. Would really like to fix the brass in the forehead thing though. Where can I get an aftermarket extractor?
Also, you can see in the pic it was shooting a bit off. I was able to adjust the rear sights to get it to hit a little more center. Damn I had to beat on it hard though. For a while I didn't think it was going to budge...
