Norc 1911A1/markings???

I want to build a USGI 1911A1 Out of my Norc.I want to pick up a piece here a piece there ect.Is it legal to remove the Made in China /Exported by Norinco markings from my frame??Once I have all the parts Im plannining to re park the whole pistol.Advice is welcome critisism is considered...Im working on a budget.Dave

You can remove everything except the serial #.

Yep, you can remove the made in china and the norinco stuff just leave the serial number. It has been done quite often.

The slide is fair game.
