Hey everyone,
Well I have a dilemma. I cannot decide if I want to get a Norinco 1911 A1C/A1 TT and I ran into a Regent 1911 A1 GI for $399 That price is also new for the Regent. I know Norcs go roughly around $350ish. I have been running my research on both and haven't found much on the Regent...and if I have run into any they are mixed. On both...I have found that the frame and slide on the Norc are made from forged steel. As for the Regent, it is made from a cast. Barrel on the Norc is Chrome lined as the Regent is Stainless steel. I'm on a budget and a Kimber is outta my reach but I plan on doing up grades on which ever one I do get down the road. Anyway help would be appreciated. Thanks guys!!

Not often when a Norinco is the "gun of choice", but I'd take it over the Regent.

I've been very happy with the fit, finish, accuracy, reliability and trigger pull,

of the newer Norincos.

And let's face it, soon everything will be "Made in China".:D

bradofcanada since you have the 2 tone...is yours the nickel satin finish? Or is it the dull finish. Lemme know. And as for the sport version...is it a more up to date then say the 1911a1c?

I just got this SAM Commander-E a week ago, very good fit and finish, shoots great.
The flat black finish has no markings on the left side and minimal markings on the right.
Took a couple of pictures at the range last weekend:
