Norc 308/7.62 X 51 ammo quality?

I use to shoot it a while back. Never had any issues. I put about 2000 rds through my FAL and M-14. It shot a little hot but never any issues.

As for a source, try Wolverine Supplies.

They are the mildest commercial ammo I have shot and my 5 shot group were averaging 3 inches at 100 meters with irons. The point of impact is lower than usual.

I wouldn't run it through tight match chambers (less than 1.632 or so), but otherwise it's quite good stuff. I found the batches made in 95 and later to be particularly consistent.

No complaints, it runs fine in my M305 with no reliability issues. I'm seeing about 2670fps with this stuff. Groups are okay. My rough calculations have a G1 BC of 0.351 and a G7 BC of 0.176.

It gave me some headaches with my tight chambered M305, caused problems with extractors.Never had problems with other ammo. The Norc stuff only had issues with one of my 305's. Not too hot and fairly accurate. I use it only in the winter when there is snow on the ground, for obvious reasons.

Norc surplus is pretty much all that I shoot in my M305. Been stock piling it for a few years now. Does what I want it to do.

That being said, it does not chamber in my 308 bolt action. Not sure if that is a 7.62NATO V.S. 308WIN issue or not.

Ive shot about 1500 rounds through my two M305 rifles. Cheap and fun. No issues.

I think Tenda may be the best deal going right now.

EDIT: just realized that Wolverine has 1000 round case going for $480. That's the cheapest I've seen these days!

its good for the price it wears the barrel out faster. it costs less then premium ammo and not replacing a barrel. its like 2.5-6 inches depends what you shoot it out of.

Ran though a 500 round can in my XCR-M. Had an issue with a couple cartridges sticking when chambering but other than that it performed well. Good 1-1.5" groups at 100 yards. Was cutting stalks of tall weeds down with pretty good reliability.
