Hi All

I am considering buying a Norc 1911 in 9mm as my first handgun. We are putting in a new furnace, so funds are somewhat tight. Can anyone tell me if this is a good idea, or am I just a moron for thinking along these lines? I have heard some bad, but also a lot of good. What do you guys think?

Any advice would be appreciated.

NP29 is one of the best (if not THE best) Norinco handguns going. Excellent value, and a VERY good starter gun.

On a limited budget, IMHO, it can not be beat. I'm still sorry I sold mine long ago... :(

Get one from Marstar. With their great warranty, the NP29 is a very good deal.

I bought one this year and it is an excellent pistol, feeds ball and JHPs flawlessly.

Norinco NP-29 1911A-1 9mm

Here's what I'd do... order a Norinco NP-29 1911A-1 style pistol in 9mm from Marstar. When it arrives, ship it up to Gunnar at Armco for a smooth & tune job. Bob's your uncle.... ;)

Don't even consider getting ONE NP29 1911 style 9mm !

Consider getting TWO of them at under $ 400 each, you cannot go wrong.

I love my NP29 !! And I've owned P226's, Browning HP's, Springfield Loaded 1911's, and a Colt .45, too.

Freemasons and 1911 style 9mm

This is like the best thread of all times...

I'm also considering the NP29 as my first purchase... funny I'm also considering becoming a freemason...

More info on both would be great ;)
