Hey fellow CGN'ers,

Just wondering if anybody out there knows if the buffer tube threads on the norc CQA 10.5 inch are commercial or mil-spec. I would like to put a skeletonized stock on it and need to know which buffer tube to order. And for the haters, my norc is at like 600 rounds over 3 outings and has functioned flawlessly.

thanks,

Cj

I don't have a Norc, but the threads of all "buffer tubes" are the same diameter, it is the rest of the "tube" that differs.

Which "skeletonized stock" do you plan to attach?

Regards.

Mark

Threads are the same, as far as I know for the tubes. The rest of it is a different diameter between commercial and milspec.

thanks dudes.

I would like to do the carbine ACE stock. I would love to make it a side folder too, I have been researching the cmmg gas piston conversion kit, any one ever used one before? they look simple enough to install.........(famous last words)

People who know far more than I do say to stay away from the ACE stock. google it, or go to M4C/Lightfighter and search for problems/issues.

Unless you get one of the ZM or similar uppers, or a .22, ARs can not be side folders.

Stay away from bolt on piston systems. Stick with DI.

From the questions you have asked regarding the AR, you need to use it a lot more more and do some research before you start tinkering with one.
