I've noticed some of you changing this out with an aftermarket or Colt handle. Is there a problem with the original Norc handle?

I still use mine. I just installed a Badger Ordnance tactical latch and everything is good.

I replaced the Norc with a BCM Gunfighter (and my DPMS too) cause I found a good deal. I had replaced the latch on the Norc handle with an enlarged tactical style but roll pin kept creeping on me scratching the receiver and causing handle to not latch.
The enlarged latches are nice because the are easier to grab in a hurry. Something to consider if you are shooting action/tactical type matches or defending from zombies. If you are just causal plinker there is no real need to change....unless you just plan want to.
